Opera’s newest mobile-focused version of the browser will launch on Wednesday.
Opera’s new browser, Opera Mini, will offer users the same browser as Opera’s desktop browser, but with a “mobile-first” interface that makes it more intuitive for mobile users.
The browser will also make use of a new API called the new “WebView” that Opera has made available to developers.
The API lets Opera Mini make use not only of the new WebView, but also the new Edge API.
Users will be able to access the new browser through the new Firefox, Chrome, and Opera extensions, while the old versions of the browsers will remain available in the Opera Store.
The new browser will support the new web design features offered by the new HTML5 spec, including a new tabbed interface, and the new design for Opera’s search engine and bookmarks.
Opera Mini will be available for $9.99 on the web, and $49.99 in the App Store.
