Apple Pay will begin to roll out to iPhone and iPad owners in the US on December 15, according to the company’s CEO Tim Cook.
The new service will be available to all iPhone and Mac users at the following retailers:Apple is offering a free $1.99 per month trial of Apple Pay to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users, and a $2.99 annual subscription to Apple Pay at all Apple retail stores starting on December 1.
Users will be able to buy the new Apple Pay service on a number of platforms including Apple.com, ApplePay.com and Apple Pay Mobile App, which can be used to make purchases and pay for goods and services at participating Apple retail outlets.
The service will also be available in the UK, Australia, Canada, India, Singapore, Germany, Japan, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the United States and the European Union.
Apple has previously announced that it plans to launch a “mobile payment platform” in 2017, but it has yet to reveal how much the platform will cost or when it will launch.
