Google says its researchers are working to build a computer vision engine that can detect, recognize and track human-made objects on the planet.
The company said the new engine will be “connected to existing systems and data sources” to provide “a seamless experience for users and for the industry.”
The AI engine will enable Google to use machine learning techniques to “enhance the accuracy of search results” by “enhancing search accuracy and quality.”
Google said the AI engine is designed to “provide search engines with a better experience for all users,” with “a clear distinction between human-created content and non-human content.”
Google’s AI engine can be used to help search engine operators better understand and improve their search results.
In 2018, Google’s researchers said the technology could help it better understand the “quality and accuracy of the search results.”
Google said the “automated and natural” engine could be used by operators to “find and correct errors and misclassifications” and to provide more accurate and up-to-date search results on websites.
